José González

Meet José González. A Swedish folk singer of Argentine descent. He has this psychedelic soothing sound to his music that would be great for getting through the work week or even while on a car trip to the nearest beach.  I came across him over at NPR where they were streaming his entire new album, Fields, due to be released Sept. 14th.

NEW BAND: BROKEN BELLS

Danger Mouse (of supergroup Gnarles Barkley) and James Mercer of the Shins. If you know about either of them then you know how exciting it is that to even say the two of them together in one sentence. It turns out that recently, they have formed a new band called Broken Bells. They’ve got a new album out called High Road and it turns out they are slated to perform in NPR’s music showcase at SXSW this year. Take a listen here for yourself.
